About Us

Ann Kreindler-Siegel is a licensed clinical social worker who has specialized for 27 years in treating patients with anorexia, bulimia, fat restriction and emotional overeating. She has dual master’s degrees in educational counseling and social work from Washington University in St. Louis, and has been in private practice since 1984.

Joyce Hennessy is a licensed clinical social worker who has specialized in treating trauma survivors for 15 years. She received her master's degree in social work from the University of North Carolina, and has been in practice since 1975.

Joyce Hennessy and Ann Kreindler-Siegel developed the New Beginning program, which opened in March, 2002. Since its inception, we have run 32 groups and treated approximately 225 individuals. The program was expanded in January, 2005 from an intensive group to its current half-day treatment program. This expansion was based on successful outcomes and participant feedback from our programs.

Our first adolescent group opened in July, 2005, and we continue to run adult groups every 6-8 weeks. Please click on upcoming sessions for further information.
